The Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy

Revelations 19:10

Jesus is Prophecy Fulfilled

We could not seriously entertain a bible study about prophets without speaking about the chief of all prophets and that is Jesus. Jesus fulfilled 44 prophecies in the old testament. He also operated in words of knowledge (John 4:17-18), discernment (Matthew 16:23), and prophecy (Mark 13:24-27). Jesus is the source of all prophesy, and we do not have an accurate perspective of prophetic ministry without his testimony. In Revelations 19:10, it says that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. True prophecy bears witness to Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.

It also causes us to worship him. Prophecy must give a clear witness to Jesus. It must reflect his character and ministry. One of the greatest roles of a prophet is to receive messages from God and relay those messages to other people. Jesus as the greatest prophet that has ever lived did this by not only relaying God’s words to his people but also the heart of the Father’s message. Jesus as the son of God released the message of the Heavenly father to us who live on Earth. This makes him the greatest prophet that has ever lived.
